Where is your hotel located?

You will find us in the bustling center of The Hague, directly located at the Buitenhof. From here, you can explore all the classic sights, shopping streets, and restaurants by foot. Additionally, we have various tram stops almost at our doorstep, allowing you to travel to Scheveningen and the beach in just 15 minutes.

What are your opening hours?

We are available 24 hours a day. We are happy to assist you either by telephone, e-mail or simply at the reception desk of our hotel. Feel free to contact us at +31 (0) 70 363 79 30 or by e-mail at welcome@corona.nl.

What time is check-in?

When you book a room with us, we guarantee check-in from 3 pm. If you arrive in The Hague earlier, you can always leave your luggage at our reception. This way, you can already start enjoying the city with ease. Our team will make every effort to place your luggage in your room as soon as it is ready.

Do you wish to use your room before 3 pm? An early check-in is possible, subject to availability, for an additional fee of €15.

What time is check-out?

On the day of your departure, you can stay in your room until 12 pm. Do you want to sleep in or need to use your room for a longer period for another reason? A late check-out is possible based on availability for an additional charge of €10 per hour.

What are the age restrictions at your hotel?

Check-in and staying in our hotel is allowed for persons aged 18 and older. During the check-in process, a valid ID must be presented. Minors are welcome when accompanied by travel companions aged 18 or older.

Can I bring my pet?

We understand that you would like to bring your extra family member on your trip. Unfortunately, due to the carpets on our stairs and in our hallways, pets are not allowed. In addition, we also take into account possible allergies of other guests.

What payment methods does your hotel accept?

We accept various payment methods. You can pay in cash in euros but also with American Express, Maestro, MasterCard, Visa, and V-Pay.

I don't have a credit card. Can I still make a reservation?

Yes, this is definitely possible. To make a reservation without a credit card, book directly on our website and choose a Non-Refundable Rate. With this option, no credit card guarantee is required, and you pay upfront with iDEAL (only possible with a Dutch bank accounts). Please note: a reservation with a non-refundable rate cannot be canceled free of charge.

Are you unable to use iDEAL as a payment method or do you prefer to make a reservation with the flexibility to cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before arrival? Please send us an email at welcome@corona.nl. We will then offer you a Flexible Rate and send you a secure payment link to complete the payment. With this option, you enjoy the benefits of a Flexible Rate without needing a credit card. Please note: your reservation is confirmed once we have received your payment.

What is tourist tax and when do I pay it?

Tourist tax is a direct tax levied for overnight stays within the municipality of The Hague. You pay the tourist tax at the hotel, and it amounts to €6 per person, per night. Even if you live in the Netherlands, you are required to pay the tourist tax. Residents of the municipality of The Hague who stay with us do not have to pay the tourist tax.

Can I buy a Boutique Hotel Corona gift voucher?

Would you like to give someone a memorable surprise? A Boutique Hotel Corona gift voucher is an excellent choice. Through our website, you can easily book a gift voucher that you will receive at home the next day. Facilities

Can I park at your hotel?

Our hotel does not have its own parking facility. You are welcome to park in parking garage Interparking Museumkwartier, where hotel guests receive an exclusive discount. From this garage, it is about a 7-minute walk to our hotel. You can safely park your vehicle here from €22.50 per 24 hours. By reserving your parking space online and in advance, you benefit from unlimited entry and exit privileges (discount code ‘CORONAKORTING’).

You can also enter the parking garage without an online reservation based on availability for a rate of €30 per 24 hours (without unlimited entry and exit privileges). Our reception team can validate your entry card upon your departure.

Do you have free Wi-Fi?

Yes, of course. Free Wi-Fi is available to all our hotel guests. You will receive the information upon your arrival at our hotel.

Do your rooms have air conditioning?

All our rooms are equipped with a climate control system, allowing you to choose whether your room should be heated or cooled.

What facilities do you have in the rooms?

All rooms are equipped with modern facilities such as a flat-screen TV, a small fridge, a secure safe, and a practical desk. Additionally, each room has an ironing board and iron available. All rooms are provided with two bottles of water and have coffee and tea facilities. Besides the usual shampoo, shower gel, and hand soap, each bathroom is equipped with a soft body lotion, a hairdryer, and a shaving mirror.

Can I temporarily leave my luggage with you before or after my stay?

If your room is not ready upon arrival or you have not seen enough of the city at check-out, you can always leave your luggage with us. We must inform you that leaving your luggage is at your own risk and Boutique Hotel Corona cannot be held liable for theft or loss of your belongings.

Can you help me obtain museum tickets?

We are happy to help. At our reception, we sell tickets for Escher in Het Paleis (Escher in The Palace), Mauritshuis and Panorama Mesdag. Would you like tickets for other museums, such as the Haags Historisch Museum (The Hague Historical Museum) or Gevangenpoort (The Prison Gate Museum)? We will happily assist you with booking your tickets online.

Can I rent bicycles from you?

Yes, certainly. Exploring The Hague on two wheels is an excellent idea. Our reception team will gladly advise you on a nice route along the sights in the area or towards Scheveningen. Our bicycles are equipped with an adjustable saddle, 3 gears, a cable lock, and hand brakes. For just €12 you can cycle around The Hague for 3 hours. Would you like to use the bikes longer? It is possible to rent a bike for one or more days for €16 per day. If you wish to extend your bike rental to 2 or more days, we charge €14 per day after the first day.

Can I have my clothes steamed or washed at your hotel?

Yes, during your stay, you can find a laundry bag with a laundry form in your room's wardrobe. You can place the clothes you want washed and/or steamed inside the bag and hand it in at our reception before 9 am. The next day we will place the washed or steamed clothing items back in your room. Do you have an urgent request? For an extra charge of €12.50, your laundry will be returned the same day.

Does your hotel have a gym?

Our hotel does not have a gym. If you wish to exercise during your stay, we can certainly help you find a suitable fitness facility nearby.

Special Requests

I have mobility issues; can I stay at your hotel?

Our Boutique Hotel Corona is located in three seventeenth-century buildings with relatively narrow hallways. As a result, our hallways are not wheelchair accessible. It is possible to leave your wheelchair at our reception and move through our hotel by foot. However, some rooms are only accessible via hallways with a step or a few stairs. If you are unsure whether our hotel is suitable for you, please feel free to call us at +31 (0) 70 363 79 30.

I have a specific room request. Do you take this into account?

Our hotel has 72 rooms, and we hope there is a room available that matches your preferences. We have quiet rooms at the rear of our hotel for a relaxing stay. If you want to admire the vibrant Royal city from a distance, you can choose a room with a city view.

If you prefer a hotel room with either a twin bed or a king bed, you can indicate this when making your reservation. We will do our best to accommodate your request. If we have questions about your request, we will contact you to ensure there are no surprises.

I am coming with my partner and our child, can we stay in one room?

Yes, you can. In our Superior Rooms and Junior Suites, it is possible to place an extra bed. We can place a baby bed in your room for children up to three years old for an additional charge of €12.50. From three years old, an extra bed will be placed in your room, costing €25 per night.

Due to our house rules, it is not allowed to have your baby sleep in a self-brought baby bed. For safety reasons, a third sleeping place must be provided by our hotel. Therefore, it is not allowed to stay in a room with three people without an extra (baby) bed.

I want to surprise my partner romantically, is that possible?

Absolutely. You can surprise your loved one with our Romantic Delight package. This ensures unmatched luxury and relaxation during your stay. We will romantically decorate your room for a small additional charge of €30, including rose petals, a bottle of Cava, a box of chocolates, and a bottle of almond blossom massage oil. A late check-out until 2 pm is also possible based on availability. If you booked your reservation with breakfast included, you can opt for breakfast in bed for a surcharge of just €2.50.

Can I stay in one room with four friends?

Our Comfort Room, Comfort Room with City View, and Souterrain Room with Window, host a maximum of 2 people. In our Superior Room and Junior Suite, there is space for up to 3 people. If you want to enjoy a stay in our hotel with four friends, please let us know via welcome@corona.nl. We will happily book 2 rooms next to each other and give all four of you an extra room key so you can visit each other whenever you want.

I have something to celebrate, can I do that at your hotel?

Absolutely. With our Festive Surprise package, you are all set for a perfect celebration. For €30, we create the ultimate surprise for you, including balloons, garlands, and a chilled bottle of Cava. Based on availability, you can choose a late check-out until 2 pm.

Want to go the extra mile? Let us arrange a cake of your choice in your room. This is possible from €15.

Is there a quiet workspace available outside my hotel room?

Our hotel has a public area called the Gallery. Here, a long table is available where our hotel guests can sit quietly. If the Gallery is available, you are welcome to work or hold meetings there.

Are there special discounts for seniors, members of certain organizations, or long-term stays?

Booking through our website always guarantees the best rate because you receive a standard discount of 12%. Therefore, we do not have additional discounts or promotions. If you want to reserve five or more rooms or are looking for a long-term stay, you can email us at welcome@corona.nl, and we will gladly see what we can do for you in terms of pricing.

Accessibility and Surroundings

How do I reach your hotel by public transport?

Our Boutique Hotel Corona is easily accessible by public transport. From The Hague Central Station, take tram 17 towards Wateringen or tram 15 towards Nootdorp and get off at the 'Buitenhof' stop to arrive at our hotel within a few minutes.

Do you want to travel from our hotel to another location by public transport? That is also possible. Several tram and bus lines are within walking distance of our hotel. For example, you can travel to Scheveningen and the beach by tram in just 15 minutes.

Can you arrange a taxi for me from or to the airport or train station?

Yes, we work with a reliable and welcoming taxi company and will gladly arrange a taxi for you at the desired time.

What are the sights and attractions near your hotel?

We are very proud of our central location. Our hotel is located in the heart of The Hague and is therefore surrounded by many attractions. Within a 1-kilometer radius of our hotel, there are several notable locations such as the Mauritshuis, the bustling shopping center, the Binnenhof with the House of Representatives and the Ridderzaal, the Escher Museum, and Noordeinde Palace. I want to go to the beach in Scheveningen or to the Circus Theater. Which tram should I take?

From our hotel, it is only a 3-minute walk to the Kneuterdijk tram stop. Here you can take Tram 1 towards Scheveningen Noord. After 15 minutes, you will arrive at the 'Kurhaus' tram stop, where you only need to walk 5 minutes to reach the beach and the Circus Theater. You can obtain tram tickets at our hotel's reception.

I am visiting The Hague for the first time, what recommendations do you have?

How nice that you are visiting our Royal city. As a new visitor, there is a lot to see in The Hague. Due to our central location, almost all attractions and the shopping center are within a short walking distance from our hotel. During check-in, we are happy to share our recommendations with you. You can find the recommendations on our website under 'Explore The Hague'.

Would you like to discover the real taste of The Hague? Then you can choose The Taste of The Hague. For €30, typical Hague delicacies will be placed in your room. This way, you get a true local experience with Haagse hopjes, the hopjes liqueur from Van Kleef, and the delicious Haagse Hopjes cake from 't Bakkertje.

Do you have a restaurant and bar?

Hotel guests are welcome at BIT Grill and Café and have direct access to this restaurant via the ground floor of our hotel. We always recommend to make a reservation for lunch and dinner to avoid disappointment. BIT Grill and Café offers a casual dining experience from breakfast, to a delicious coffee, a (business) lunch, late dinner or drinks after exploring our city. Make your reservation here.

What are the opening times of BIT Grill and Café?

General opening times:

Is breakfast included in my reservation?

Your hotel booking will either include or exclude the daily breakfast buffet offered by BIT Grill and Café. If you are unsure, you can find this information in the confirmation e-mail of your stay. If you have a reservation excluding breakfast and you would like to adjust this, please let us know any time.

Breakfast is not included in my reservation. What options do I have?

We can easily adjust your hotel booking to include the daily breakfast buffet offered by BIT Grill and Café (ground floor). Simply reach out to our reception team and we will make the arrangements for you.

Our hotel has a perfect location with several breakfast options within walking distance. If you prefer to have breakfast in the city we will gladly share our recommendations. We currently have an exclusive partnership with Restaurant Harper, just a 2-minute walk from our hotel. As a hotel guest you are welcome to enjoy Harper’s Breakfast, a luxurious breakfast menu for €19.50 per person, available daily from 9.00 am. You can add Harper’s Breakfast to your hotel reservation when booking through our website or upon arrival at our hotel.

What does BIT Grill and Café offer as part of their daily breakfast buffet?

The daily breakfast buffet offered to our hotel guests by BIT Grill and Café includes a small variety of bread, scrambled eggs, bacon, yoghurt and granola. There is also a humble selection of sweet and savory toppings, juice, coffee and tea available. If you have allergies or specific dietary requirements, please let us know at your earliest convenience so we can liaise with the restaurant team for alternative options.

Does your hotel offer roomservice?

Absolutely. Every day of the week, it is possible to have meals, snacks, or drinks delivered to your room by the team of BIT Grill and Café. A room service charge of €2.50 applies to your in-room dining orders.

I have the BIT Grill and Café daily breakfast buffet included. Can I decide to have this breakfast in my room?

Certainly. Kindly let our reception team know by 9 pm the evening before. You will receive a breakfast form to select your preferred breakfast items. Our reception team will deliver your order form to the team of BIT Grill and Café. The next morning, your preferred breakfast items will be delivered to your room. A surcharge of €2.50 applies to your room service orders.

I have an allergy / dietary requirements. Can I still opt for the daily breakfast buffet?

BIT Grill and Café strives to facilitate a daily breakfast buffet suitable for all our hotel guests. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements we would love to know prior to your stay. This allows time for the restaurant team to make adjustments and offer alternatives where needed.

I do not have time for breakfast. Do you offer breakfast to-go?

Absolutely. BIT Grill and Café offers our hotel guests the option to opt for a breakfast to-go. Let our reception team know by 8 pm the evening before so we can liaise with the restaurant team. You breakfast to-go will be ready for pick-up at reception the next morning at a timing of your convenience.  

I would like to have breakfast in the city. Do you have any recommendations?

Our hotel has a perfect location with several breakfast options within walking distance. We currently have an exclusive partnership with Restaurant Harper, just a 2-minute walk from our hotel.
