The rooms are big enough. Very clean. Everything you need including coffee/tea. The location can’t be better. But definitely the best were the friendly and helpful people there. It was a great stay and we would definitely come back.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about this hotel, honestly! The staff greeted us very nicely and helped us tremendously! Our room was amazing! My significant other and I especially loved the comfortable bed and jacuzzi!

Almost everything. Traditional arhitecture, modern renovated room, the facilities, the restaurant, the food, the staff from the front desk. The position of the hotel is ideal, close to everything that is important.

Our rooms

None of our 72 hotel rooms are the same, they are all unique, however they all have several aspects in common.
All our rooms are comfortable, including a contemporary design, provided with free WiFi as well as coffee & tea facilities. Without a doubt we have paid careful attention to your bed: a good matrass, 4 pillows of two different thicknesses, a wonderful duvet and soft sheets. In our modern bathroom you will find the bathroom amenities.

History

Did you know that Boutique Hotel Corona is the oldest fourstar hotel in The Hague? At the end of the 16th century the Buitenhof was still an unpaved forecourt of the Binnenhof (Houses of Parliament). There lived mainly members of the royal household of the Courtyard. At the beginning of the 18th century Koffiehuys Van Dalen was settled in the middle of the three buildings, which now form Boutique Hotel Corona. In 1783 it officially became a hotel named “De Beurs van Amsterdam”. Between 1818 and 1919 the 3 small buildings were given a different function and served as office premises, shops and even as a bank.

Given the, at that time, convenient location in the center of The Hague, a hotel was again chosen in 1921. An overnight stay spent only three-and-a-half guilders (around 1.50 euros). After the Second World War a new director came and he named the hotel Corona. The hotel has also been owned by the Heineken family.

We are located in three 17th century buildings. If you look closely, you can still see the three different facades at the hotel entrance. Naturally we have preserved all the beautiful details: the high ceilings on the ground floor, the chandeliers, but also the vaulted cellars where the wines are preserved to this day.

With our current large-scale renovation which started in 2017 we have made sure that our boutique hotel meets the standards and needs of modern travellers, you, even better. We offer contemporary comfort in an elegant setting, with naturally our personalized service.
In the past 2 years we have almost doubled our amount of hotel rooms to 72 in total. We have accomplished this by converting meeting rooms and other public areas which were not used frequently. Moreover, we have added two floors on the backside of our two stately buildings.
We are working closely with our interior designer to make our rooms even more bright and comfortable. We expect the renovation to be completed at the end of this year, so our entire hotel is fresh and ready for the future.
